This is my favorite clip-on microphone, and I've done side by side tests with 3 other $5-20 clip-on microphones. The other ones tend to sound tinny, or lack pickup. This one is clearly the best. In a twist of fate, it's also the cheapest. I did have one problem with it, when the plastic "pin" that holds together the clip hinge popped out. It took quite a bit of dexterity to get the pin back in to reassmble it. If not, I would have replaced the pin with a $0.50 screw and nut from the hardware store.
In fact, this is my favorite microphone to use even when price is no option. I've tried a number of headsets, cheap and expensive. Some over the head, some behind the head, some foldable for travel. I found ALL of them uncomfortable for long periods of time doing voice-gaming. I wear glasses, and the constant headphone pressure pushing my ears around the earhook of my glasses eventually hurts no matter what the headset is like. For a while I was just setting an around-the-back headset on my shoulders and using a separate set of earbuds for sound, but I realized a clip-on mic would be easier.... voila... Enjoy.
