I purchased this in advance of the release of the Kindle Fire because it appeared to be simple and relatively inexpensive. Well, it is both of those, plus the purple color is far more muted than in the picture presented and it makes it look rather impressive. It feels wonderful (like leather) and doesn't add to the bulk of the Kindle at all. A great purchase. I would highly recommend this to family and friends, or purchase it for my brother as an inexpensive Christmas gift.
