I purchased this speaker for each of my kids (ages 6 and 8) for their iPod shuffles (not the new shuffle, the older one). The sound quality is not fabulous but it's fine for the price. I wouldn't get one for, let's say, a party where I wanted to play my tunes for adult friends, but my kids really enjoy using it and listening to their songs without headphones. I'm very pleased with the purchase.
