Full Speaker System for Deep, Expansive Sound

To complement the AVR-391 receiver, Denon has included a full 5.1 speaker system. This compact, yet powerful system features two-way, front "LCR" type speakers using dual 3-inch woofers flanking a 1-inch tweeter. The surround speakers feature a 3-inch full range driver. The speakers are black vinyl clad wooden enclosures helping to minimize cabinet vibration to improve detail and definition. Providing depth and impact to the sound is an 8-inch, 100-watt powered subwoofer. Combined with the AVR-391, this package delivers 650-watts of total system power.

The slim-line front speaker scan be shelf- or wall-mounted to conserve space. The two surround speakers designed to expand the sound stage are compact facilitating easy placement. Likewise, the powerful, 100-watt subwoofer is compact enough to be tucked inconspicuously into a corner. This speaker system guarantees an intense audio experience when combined with the AVR391 receiver.

Connectivity for System Expansion

With four HDMI inputs, the AVR-391 allows you to route multiple high-definition devices--like game consoles and Blu-Ray players--to your TV. Five analog audio inputs and two digital inputs (one coax, one optical) complete the connectivity package. There is a 3.5mm input jack on the units front panel allowing for easy connection of a portable audio player. And Denon offers optional iPod docks that easily connect to the system.

I did a lot of research, like most of you will do, and determined that this was the best I could do with my budget. My primary concerns were sound quality and getting enough power for a large room (19' x 20') This does well in those regards, while you sacrifice in other areas. For this price you can't have everything!
