I got mine today and started feeding it's hunger immediately. After approximately 30 DVD's/CD's the unit shut down with a disc right in the middle. At first I thought it was a jam, but after reading the instructions I figured it had overheated due to use. The instructions said to unplug for 15 minutes and then fire it back up. Sure enough, it fired back up after about 10 minutes (I couldn't wait) and it finished shredding the DVD.
